Inspired by the Okefenokee Swamp—the largest blackwater swamp in North America—“Blackwater Bloom” reflects to the mysterious beauty of carnivorous plants. I began the piece after paddling across the swamp in the spring of 2025 and continued shaping it over the course of nearly a year.
